Dare to Self-Care

Kate Adametz Jenkins

Wednesday, January 17, 2024
8:30 am to 11:00 am - Breakfast
Mound City Bank Motor Branch, Platteville

Program description:

Just like we can't pour from an empty cup, we can't be of service to others if we are mentally and physically depleted and have nothing in the tank to give. Burnout is real, and self-care is no longer optional, it is requisite to survive, and more importantly, to thrive. This interactive session will explore the stress cycle and 7 evidence-based strategies to manage the stress response from the work of Emily and Amelia Nagoski and their book, Burnout. And because what gets in the way, often becomes the way, we will learn the critical role self-compassion and boundaries play in empowering well-being based on the work of Brené Brown's empirically-based book, Dare to LeadTM
